SOLUTION
 

"SO SICK" explores the rollercoaster of sadness and anger one experiences after a break-up. The song transitions back and forth between a melancholic ballad and an angry outburst of rap.

We establish the scene with Kai slowly descending from the sky in a world engulfed by ice and glaciers. She becomes submerged in deep water, where a large bubble consumes her whole.

Suddenly, Kai awakens and pushes her hand against the walls of the bubble. It shatters. The scene transforms into a brutalist habitat, with tall structures and hard surfaces consumed by an inferno red. Kai breaks into a stream of rap, fighting away the smoke that attempts to engulf her as she dances her pain away with a new found sense of confidence and zest for life!  

BRIEF

 

 A 16-year-old game developer and musician from New York City, Kai is mostly commonly known as the creator of SPLASH on Roblox - a virtual reality platform where users can create and perform original live music to virtual, global audiences. In 2021, Kai released her first album, BREATH, which includes the popular track, "SO SICK."

We were excited to be given the opportunity by the team at SPLASH to create this exciting music video for Kai.
